Reading midfielder Jobi McAnuff is relishing the prospect of competing in the pre-season tour of Slovenia.
The Royals are in Slovenia from 15-18 July and will face FC Dravograd and Karabukspor in Ptuj.
"After the disappointment of the final, all you want to do is to get back into training and look forward to pre-season," McAnuff told BBC Berkshire.
"It's important as you work hard whilst you're there to regain fitness to be in best shape for the new season."
Earlier this month, the 29-year-old signed an extension to his contract, keeping him at Reading until 2014 and McAnuff said he was delighted to have signed the new deal.
"It's nice to sign an extension and there's no better place to have finally put some roots down.
"When I knew that the club wanted to keep me, it was just a matter of time before something was sorted."
Live coverage of Reading's versus FC Dravograd will be on BBC Radio Berkshire on Friday 15 July from 1800 BST.
