Watford have signed Sheffield United midfielder Mark Yeates for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old, who has agreed a two-year deal, played 56 times for the Blades after joining from Middlesbrough in January last year.
The transfer fee for the winger could increase should appearance clauses become activated.
"I'm thrilled to have an effervescent wide player coming in," Hornets boss Sean Dyche told the club website.
"He's got ability and talent, and will be a big part of helping us move forward as a team."
Dublin-born Yeates started his career at Tottenham, where he experienced a string of loan spells away from White Hart Lane.
A permanent move to Colchester in 2007 lasted two years, before he switched to Middlesbrough where he made 12 starts in six months, before joining the Blades in early 2010.
He scored five goals in 36 games for the Bramall Lane outfit last season as they were relegated to League One.
