Burton Albion manager Paul Peschisolido hopes to bring in at least one more forward in the coming days.
The Brewers have so far only signed midfielders Cleveland Taylor and Chris Palmer in the summer and Peschisolido is eager to strengthen up front.
Peschisolido told BBC Radio Derby: "I am in the process of speaking with two strikers I would like to bring here.
"Nothing has happened yet but I am working on it and if one or both come off it would be fantastic."
Richard Walker left the Pirelli Stadium in the summer and Peschisolido has also not replaced Shaun Harrad who joined Northampton in January.
Peschisolido added: "I have made it a priority that we need to bring someone in with quality and the two that I am speaking to have that. We'll see what happens."
