Barrow have signed striker Adam Boyes on a one-year deal following a successful trial period with the club.

The 20-year-old scored the only goal in a 1-0 friendly win for Barrow over Lancaster City on Tuesday.

Boyes started his career at York City before moving to to Scunthorpe United in 2009.

The striker left the Iron for Boston United in January, scoring six goals in 17 appearances before being released in May.
