Five North Korean players have now tested positive for a banned anabolic steroid at the World Cup in Germany.
Song Jong-Sun and Jong Pok-Sim tested positive before their final group game against Columbia on 8 July, triggering target testing for the entire squad.
Three more players, whose names have not been disclosed by world governing body Fifa, have also failed tests.
The last doping case at a World Cup was when Diego Maradona was kicked out of the men's tournament in 1994.
