Swansea City should not change, says Tony Pulis

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis believes Swansea should stick to their principles as they embark on their debut season in the Premier League.
Swansea will begin life in the Premier League on 15 August at Manchester City.
And Welshman Pulis believes the Swans under manager Brendan Rodgers can survive in the top flight.
"I think Brendan's intelligent enough to know what he wants and which way to go round it," said Pulis.
"What he will need more than anything else is a good start and a little bit of luck and from there you push on.
"There's a lot of different systems, a lot of different ways of playing football. They will experience everything in the Premiership.
"Managers have rung me [and] I've spoke to him about what he should do and what he shouldn't do.
"But at the end of the day I've said to all the managers who have rung me 'you've got your identity, make sure you stick to your identity, don't change'."
Stoke under the guidance of former Newport County player Pulis have established themselves as a Premier League side.
The Potters are about to embark on their fourth season in the Premier League having gained promotion as Championship runners-up in 2008.
And drawing on his experiences at the Britannia Stadium, Pulis says the newly promoted sides should not be underestimated.
"If you look at the teams who got promoted last year they all did reasonably well," said Pulis.
"I know Blackpool dropped at the end but what a great season Olly [manager Ian Holloway] had with Blackpool.
"I will not take anybody for granted. I certainly won't be taking Swansea, QPR or Norwich for granted."
Pulis returned his native south Wales over the weekend as part of Stoke's preparations for the new season.
They drew 1-1 with Blue Square Premier side Newport County on Sunday and defeated Newport YMCA 6-1 on Sunday.
Swansea face Stoke at the Liberty Stadium on 1 October with the return fixture at the Britannia Stadium on 25 February.
