Guernsey FC director Steve Dewsnip has said he feels his side can continue to get even higher attendances following the success of their first ever game.
More than a thousand spectators turned up at Footes Lane to watch the club's opening pre-season friendly 6-5 defeat against League Two side AFC Wimbledon.
"I see no reason at all why we can't get more people through the gates," Dewsnip told BBC Guernsey.
The club's next match is at home to Bristol City in a friendly on Saturday.
"I'd like to think there'll be a lot more people on the island who perhaps are disappointed they missed this first historic occasion but are looking forward to watching next week and beyond," Dewsnip added.
