Kilmarnock have agreed to sign striker Ben Hutchinson on a six-month deal.
The 23-year-old was released by Celtic earlier this summer having been with the Glasgow club since January 2008.
During his time at Celtic, former Middlesbrough player Hutchinson had loan spells at Swindon Town, Dundee and Lincoln City.
Meanwhile, Killie have confirmed that Manuel Pascali will captain the club this season, taking over from Craig Bryson - who moved to Derby.
The Italian defensive midfielder picked up 18 yellow cards last season and manager Kenny Shiels has appealed for referees to be more tolerant of his new skipper.
"Some of the bookings have come for challenging referees' decisions," Shiels told BBC Scotland.
"I'm disappointed by the way they treat Mani because he's certainly not a dirty player.
"Referees need to understand how much it means to these lads.
"This is their profession, it's their full-time job. It means so much to Mani Pascali to do well for his club, for his supporters, and within that passion he's so determined."
