David Cox and Ian Harty goals helped Third Division Annan Athletic to a surprise Ramsdens Cup victory over their Second Division hosts.

Albion keeper Derek Gaston saved well from Andrew Aitken before Annan took the lead in the 29th minute when Peter Watson's cross was converted by Cox.

Rovers' Christopher Boyle hit the post with a shot before the break.

But Harty confirmed victory in the 81st minute, heading Cox's right-wing cross into the top corner of the net.
