Four second-half goals ensured Dundee overcame Dumbarton in the Scottish Communities League Cup first round.

Bryan Prunty missed a golden opportunity to put the home side ahead when he firerd wide from six yards.

And Steven Milne buried the ball into the roof of the net from close range after 48 minutes.

Jamie McCluskey's unstoppable drive and a 12-yard effort from Milne put Dundee in charge before Matthew Lockwood's fourth from the penalty spot.
