Leeds United sign Preston goalkeeper Andy Lonergan

Lonergan spent time last season training with Everton

Leeds United have completed the signing of Preston goalkeeper Andy Lonergan for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old former England Under-21 international has signed a three-year deal after making 147 consecutive starts for the Lilywhites.

"He's played many games in the Championship and was linked with moves to the Premier League," Leeds boss Simon Grayson told the club website.

"He can't wait to get started and we're looking forward to working with him."
