Sam Slocombe pens new Scunthorpe United deal
Goalkeeper Sam Slocombe has signed a new one-year contract, with the option for a further 12 months, with League One side Scunthorpe United.
The 23-year-old will compete with Josh Lillis for a first-team place following Joe Murphy's move to Coventry.
Slocombe joined the Iron from Northern Counties East League club Bottesford Town in August 2008.
He has so far started just one game for Scunthope, in the Carling Cup, and made a further four substitute appearances.
