Port Vale substitute Louis Dodds scored an injury-time equaliser to deny Crawley Town victory on their Football League debut.
The Red Devils led when Tyrone Barnett fired home from six yards out but Vale levelled from Marc Richards' free-kick.
Town regained the lead when Kyle McFadzean headed home Sergio Torres's ball and Vale's Doug Loft hit the post.
Crawley had John Dempster sent off for two bookings in three minutes and Dodds half-volleyed home from close range.

Port Vale manager Micky Adams told BBC Radio Stoke:
"From our point of view we're disappointed that we never really got going first half, and it took their goal to kick-start us.
"Their manager will obviously complain about the sending off, it's a game turner for sure.
"We've got our first points on the board and they're promotion favourites, so we've done OK."
Crawley manager Steve Evans told BBC Sussex:
"We've come to a difficult place. Their fans are passionate and you have to quiet them down.
"We played some great stuff in the second half and we were dominant. Then the referee makes a decision to issue two quick yellows. In my opinion, neither were worthy. I'll ask him about them in front of his assessor.
"If that's the standard, we'll do okay. We competed and acquitted ourselves well, but we should have got three points."
