League One Bury came back from a goal down to cause an upset against Championship side Coventry in the first round of the Carling Cup.
The Sky Blues led when David Bell crossed from the right flank and Roy O'Donovan headed home from six yards.
Bury were level seven minutes later when Andy Bishop latched onto a pass from Lowe and fired in from six yards.
Lowe put the Shakers ahead in the 75th minute with a rifled shot and then secured their win from close range.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Bury manager Richie Barker told BBC Radio Manchester:
"It was probably as near as you get (to perfect) against a Championship side and a good side at that.
"It was the strongest team they could put out which I think is a massive compliment.
"I was thinking of maybe having to go on myself and play as we're rapidly running out of players and we're only on our second game of the season."
