Doncaster are through to the second round of the Carling Cup after a comfortable home win over League One side Tranmere.
Striker Chris Brown marked his home debut with an early penalty after James Coppinger was fouled.
Brown then set up the second for on-loan Spurs youngster Ryan Mason who buried a low shot from 12 yards.
Mason then became the provider for another summer signing, Kyle Bennett, to round off the win with a lob.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll told BBC Radio Sheffield:
"We kept it going today, I thought it was excellent.
"All the little things that are important to the team we are trying to continue.
"We've spent five weeks preparing for a game we knew we were going to play and we were prepared and we had game plans to go with so when you get a game two days after, all the good stuff you wanted to do goes out of the window."
Tranmere Rovers manager Les Parry told BBC Radio Merseyside:
"We've got to be able to bounce back from set-backs and that was one of the problems we had last season.
"When we went behind we struggled to back into games and it showed again tonight.
"We won't come up against a team of this quality in our division.
"We'll probably come up against more physical sides and teams that will have the odd player that's as good as here, but as a team we won't come up against anything as good."
