Oldham Athletic striker Warren Feeney has left the club, only 24 hours after rejecting a move to Plymouth Argyle.

Feeney, 30, had one year left on his Latics contract, which has now been terminated.

He has now resumed talks with Argyle on a move, after previously stating his desire to move to Home Park on a loan deal.

The Northern Ireland international made 23 league appearances for the Latics and signed a two-year deal last summer.

The striker's career at Oldham had been disrupted through injuries and international call ups.
