Nicolas Raimondi given trial at Swindon Town

Swindon have taken Uruguayan centre-forward Nicolas Raimondi on trial.

The 26-year-old frontman spent last season at Bulgarian side Lokomotiv Plovdiv and has also had spells in Cyprus and Bolivia.

He is expected to arrive in England on Wednesday to train with Paolo di Canio's squad ahead of their League Two opener on Saturday at Crewe.

Should he earn a deal at the County Ground, he will become the 13th player signed by Di Canio this summer.
