Northampton have signed striker Bas Savage on non-contract terms following his release from Dagenham & Redbridge.
The Cobblers will become the 10th club the 29-year-old has represented since making his Reading debut in 2002.
Savage played under Northampton boss Gary Johnson at Bristol City, scoring once in 23 games between November 2005 and September 2006.
He netted three times in 38 appearances for the Daggers last term, after joining them from Tranmere.
The frontman has also played for Wycombe, Bury, Gillingham and Millwall, but has never surpassed his 10-goal haul at Brighton during his one-year spell with the Seagulls in 2007.
