Two Mansfield Town players will miss the start of the season following injuries picked up in the abandoned pre-season game against Ilkeston.
Wednesday's friendly was called off by manager Paul Cox after three players were taken to hospital during the game.
Defenders John Thompson and Ritchie Sutton are ruled out of the Stags' opener against Bath next weekend.
Thompson broke his nose and may be out for a month while Sutton (shoulder) could miss the next three weeks.
Both players signed for the Stags this summer but have been forced to wait for their competitive debuts at the club.
Refusing to be drawn on possible action against Ilkeston, club physio Jason Truscott told the club's official website: "We have documented everything, with before and after photographs of the wounds.
"We now just have to get hold of the video of the game."
