Sheffield United sign Nathaniel Mendez-Laing on loan

Mendez-Laing made 40 appearances for Peterborough, scoring five goals

Sheffield United have signed Nathaniel Mendez-Laing on loan from Wolves until January 2012.

Winger Mendez-Laing, 19, is a junior England international and spent last season on loan at Peterborough United.

Blades boss Danny Wilson told the club's website: "He is just what we need now; strong, fast and a good addition to our squad."

Wolves had agreed a fee to sell Mendez-Laing to Peterborough but the deal fell through earlier this week.
