Burton Albion 1-1 Shrewsbury

Substitute Terry Gornell rescued a point for Shrewsbury at Burton.

The Brewers took an early lead when Adam Bolder slid Calvin Zola through on goal and the Congolese striker finished with aplomb.

Marvin Morgan hit the post for the visitors before Jacques Maghoma did likewise for the hosts.

Visiting keeper Ben Smith made a great save from Justin Richards before Gornell headed a late equaliser from Shane Cansdell-Sherriff's cross.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Burton Albion manager Paul Peschisolido told BBC Radio Derby:

"It was a shame we didn't manage to see the game out, but I've got no complaints really. I think the boys were committed today and they were absolutely brilliant.

"They've touched every blade of grass. We had people tracking back, we created chances but we didn't capitalise on them. We need to learn to capitalise on them, but I'm a happy man.

"We've had some encouraging results so far. Even against Burnley we scored three and drew over 90 minutes, so I'm very pleased with the way things are shaping up."
