Steven Jackson's penalty was enough to give East Stirlingshire a narrow win over 10-man Montrose.

Montrose could have taken the lead after 10 minutes but Martin Boyle put his header wide.

Boyle had an even better chance after 32 minutes but his close range header was saved by Callum Antell.

Gable Endies defender Jonathan Smart was sent-off in the 77th minute, allowing Jackson to fire the ball into the top corner from the spot.
