Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi has signed a two-year extension to his contract at St James' Park.
The 29-year-old, who has been at the club since he was 13, scored nine Premier League goals last season.
"Newcastle is, and always will be, my club and I'm looking forward immensely to the next three years," he said.
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew added: "He has done a terrific job for me since I've been here, and he's a great character to have around the place."
Ameobi, made his Newcastle debut in September 2000 and has gone on to make over 300 appearances for the Magpies, scoring 70 goals.
His contract was due to expire at the end of the season and his new deal keeps him with the Magpies until 2014.
