Conal Platt rescued Cambridge United an injury time point at Wrexham in their Blue Square Bet Premier opener.
Captain Andy Morrell headed the Red Dragons into an early lead when he guided Mark Creighton's centre past visiting keeper Danny Naisbitt.
The hosts could have added to their lead but had two efforts cleared off the U's goal-line before the break.
A strike from Cambridge's Tom Shaw hit the bar before Platt's late effort deflected in.
