Gulls boss Martin Ling impressed by Billy Kee hat-trick

Torquay United manager Martin Ling says Billy Kee's hat-trick for Northern Ireland Under- 21's has given him a selection dilemma.

The 20-year-old former Leicester striker scored his first goals for Northern Ireland Under-21's as they beat the Faroe Islands 4-0 on Tuesday.

And with Rene Howe and Taiwo Atieno also impressing up front, Ling says picking two from three is hard.

"It does give me a dilemma, but it's a nice dilemma to have," Ling said.

"Billy made sure I remembered where he was by getting the hat-trick and seeing him all over Sky yesterday," Ling told BBC South West.

And with Howe and Atieno acquitting themselves well during the Gulls 4-1 Carling Cup loss at Southampton, Ling says they have also staked a good claim to a starting spot.

"Two of the three will start up front.

"I'm happy between any combination of them and that doesn't change because of the performance of Taiwo on Tuesday or Rene on Tuesday and obviously Billy on international duty," Ling said.
