Falkirk 2-1 Partick Thistle

Kris Doolan's missed penalty proved crucial as Partick Thistle lost to Falkirk in the First Division.

Farid El Alagui slotted home the Bairns' opener in the eighth minute after collecting Stewart Murdoch's pass.

Doolan equalised before half-time with a superb 25-yard strike but Kallum Higginbotham's header on 50 minutes restored Falkirk's advantage.

Thistle's Thomas Stewart was fouled by goalkeeper Michael McGovern but Doolan skewed his spot-kick wide.
