Carlisle 2-1 Bournemouth

Nathan Byrne's late own goal gifted Carlisle their first win at home this season, over Bournemouth.

The Blues took the lead after half-time when Tom Taiwo slid in to convert Peter Murphy's long range drive.

Harry Arter levelled for the Cherries from the penalty spot after Jon Paul McGovern's foul on Steve Lovell.

Carlisle restored their lead late on though when James Tavernier picked out Craig Curran whose left-foot effort cannoned off Byrne and into the net.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury told BBC Radio Solent:

"If you look at the chances, we probably had the better of them but it's not the chances that win you games.

"We could have scored another three of four goals if our finishing had been better.

"[On new signings)}We're close to sorting one of them out...we've lost Danny Ings so I think we need one more... I need options."
