Morecambe 2-0 Aldershot

Stunning volleys from Kevin Ellison and Lewis Alessandra gave Morecambe a fourth straight win at the expense of Aldershot.

Summer signing Ellison volleyed into the top corner from 30 yards for the opener.

Danny Hylton hit the bar from distance for Aldershot, who also had a Peter Vincenti effort ruled out for a push.

Substitute Alessandra sealed the Shrimps win with another superb long-range volley.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Aldershot manager Dean Holdsworth told BBC Surrey:

"I'm getting rather concerned that every manager is saying 'You're a superb side and you played really well today', and not having anything to show for it.

"We conceded two fabulous goals against us. Sometimes there's nothing you can do about goals like that. Morecambe were putting their bodies on the line in the second half.

"Right now that final piece of the jigsaw is eluding us. But I don't want my players to change their style. Right now we need the rub of the green in front of goal."
