Preston North End sign Steven Smith from Norwich City

Preston have signed left-back Steven Smith on a free transfer from Premier League newcomers Norwich City.
The 26-year-old has signed a one-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months, at Deepdale.
Smith joined Norwich from Rangers in June 2010 but struggled to settle and went on loan to Aberdeen in January.
Preston boss Phil Brown told the club website: "We have been looking to strengthen the left-back position. I'm delighted to secure Steven's services."
