Ebbsfleet slumped to their second successive defeat as Daniel Bradley's winning goal gave Tamworth the victory.
Ashley Cain's cross found Bradley and he volleyed home to help the Lambs to their first win of the season.
Bradley had a chance to double the hosts' advantage but his shot from inside the area was saved by Joe Welch.
Ebbsfleet's best chance fell to Patrick Kanyuka but he could not convert the opportunity as he failed to hit the target with a far-post header.
