York made it two wins from two matches with a convincing victory over Barrow.
Jason Walker tapped in from close range, before Patrick McLaughlin doubled York's advantage when he slotted home James Meredith's pass.
Barrow pulled one back when ex-York striker Adam Boyes headed in Kelvin Lomax's cross.
Lomax was then sent off, getting a second yellow for kicking the ball at a prostrate Jamie Reed, before Matty Blair's 12-yard strike sealed the win.
