Bas Savage wins longer Northampton Town deal

Savage has yet to find the net in his three Northampton games

Northampton Town have handed striker Bas Savage a five-month deal, following a two-week spell on non-contract terms at Sixfields.

Since agreeing temporary terms in early August the 29-year-old has featured in all three of the Cobblers' competitive fixtures this season.

He played the final five minutes of the season-opener against Accrington and has started the two subsequent matches.

The deal keeps the former Brighton man at the club until mid-January.
