Dunfermline win John Potter red card case

Potter (hands on head) was dismissed after conceding a penalty kick

Dunfermline have been successful in their appeal against John Potter's sending off against St Johnstone.

The defender was shown a red card for tripping striker Francisco Sandaza to concede a penalty in the Pars' 1-0 win at McDiarmid Park.

Pars manager Jim McIntyre thought Jason Thomson was the last covering defender and the Scottish Football Association's fast track tribunal agreed.

Potter will now be available for Saturday's match against Dundee United.
