Sheffield Wednesday sign Stoke City winger Ben Marshall

Marshall is a product of the Crewe Alexandra academy

Sheffield Wednesday have signed Stoke City winger Ben Marshall on loan until January 2012.

Marshall, 20, spent most of last season on loan at League One rivals Carlisle United, scoring five goals in 42 games.

The former Manchester United trainee has also had loan spells with Northampton and Cheltenham.

He told the club website: "I have played in front of big crowds before and I am really looking forward to doing that here."
