Grimsby Town sign midfielder Tyrone Thompson

Grimsby Town have signed former Mansfield Town midfielder Tyrone Thompson on a non-contract basis.
The midfielder, 29, who started his career as a youth player at Sheffield United, was released by Mansfield in May.
Thompson scored two goals in 27 league appearances for The Stags last season.
He is now expected to make his debut on Saturday against Newport County for a Grimsby side beaten 5-0 by Braintree on Tuesday night.
Grimsby joint-manager Rob Scott said on 27 July that he wanted just one more signing, but the Mariners have now started the season with two straight defeats.
