Substitute Glenn Murray earned Crystal Palace a point after Blackpool appeared on course to collect three points.
Alex Baptiste struck just before the break for the Seasiders when he converted a cross from Barry Ferguson.
Only a series of acrobatic saves from Eagles keeper Julian Speroni kept the home side in the game.
And Crystal Palace levelled when Murray swept the ball home with only 11 minutes remaining after a cross from Dean Moxey.
He started his supershow in the third minute when he stopped a 12-yard thunderbolt from Brett Ormerod and continued to deny the Seasiders who who should have gone on to win the game.
Blackpool almost went ahead when midfielder Keith Southern drilled a 25-yard free-kick which Palace defender Patrick McCarthy did well to keep out. The visitors continued to probe and went close again when Ormerod's close-range strike was blocked by Dean Moxey.
Palace created their first opening when Darren Ambrose crossed dangerously and defender Craig Cathcart cleared the ball only as far as Ryan McGivern but he could only steer his header wide.
Blackpool left-back Stephen Crainey then fouled Jermaine Easter and Eagles midfielder Ambrose delivered a dangerous free-kick from the right flank. McCarthy arrived to meet the ball with a firm header which drew a brilliant save from Blackpool keeper Matt Gilks.
Shortly before the half hour, defender McGivern crossed well only for Easter to send a poor header wide. Two minutes later, Gary Taylor-Fletcher volleyed a fierce 30-yard effort over the bar.
Murray entered the action late but soon had a header saved by Gilks before he equalised. Moxey crossed from the left flank and the substitute arrived to sweep the ball home right-footed.
