Crusaders scored all three of their goals in the first half as they comfortably saw off Ballymena United.

Timmy Adamson slotted home the opener in the ninth minute after the home side failed to defend a Crusaders throw-in.

Stuart Dallas and Ciaran Gargan fired over the bar but Jordan Owens scored with a bullet header from a Stephen McBride cross after 31 minutes.

Chris Morrow completed a fine run from midfield by finishing superbly before the break to secure three points.

Gary McCutcheon went close with a diving header in the second half, United's best chance of the game.
