Harrogate Town came from behind to beat Hinckley United 2-1 to claim their second win in Blue Square Bet North.
Andre Gray put the home side ahead just before half time but Peter Bore and then Paul Brayson scored to claim the points for Harrogate.
Assistant manager John McDermott told BBC Radio York: "We wasted 45 minutes to be honest. The players were still on the bus.
"What we did better in the second half was keep the ball better," he added.
"What we lacked in the first half was tempo and commitment. We relied on the goal keeper again to keep us in the game.
"What we say in there stays in there but there were a few harsh words to a few.
"In the second half we looked after it better. We started to build it up and get it out wide and because we've got the pace we stretched it out wide."
The result moves Harrogate Town up to 10th in the early season table.
