Luton target James Constable wants Oxford United future

Oxford striker James Constable has stated his desire to remain a United player despite speculation linking him with a move away from the club.
Luton Town and Swindon are interested in signing the 26-year-old, who scored a brace against the Robins on Sunday.
But Constable told BBC Radio Oxford: "I've got three years left at this club and as far as I'm concerned I'm an Oxford player.
"And I will be for as long as they'll have me."
The former Shrewsbury player, who scored 15 times in the U's League Two campaign last season, signed a new three-year deal in April but Luton boss Gary Brabin and Robins boss Paolo di Canio have both made clear their interest in signing the striker.
And it was Constable who received much of the attention in the run-up to the League Two clash, the first Oxford-Swindon derby game since 2002, with Di Canio claiming that the striker was a Swindon Town fan.
But the former Oxford captain said Di Canio's comments had only helped to motivate him, adding: "Obviously with all the games in midweek I think they tried to do a little bit to get at me, but it made me want it more."
U's chairman Kelvin Thomas was also impressed with how Constable dealt with the attention, and insisted the striker would be staying at the Kassam Stadium.
"Of course he is," said Thomas. "We've turned down offers for James and Sunday showed why - he's a big player for us."
Meanwhile, Brabin, who had an offer for Constable turned down by Oxford in August, has suggested he will continue his pursuit of the striker.
"I know he's scored two on Sunday. The decision is up to the player," he told BBC Three Counties Radio.
"I don't know what Oxford's thoughts are. I'm close to people there but I haven't spoken to them.
"We're going to have to see what happens but we won't be putting all our eggs in one basket."
