Exeter City boss Tisdale hails Preston game as 'one of the best'

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale says the 1-0 defeat at Preston North End was 'one of the best away performances' his side has ever played.

City were reduced to 10 men for an hour after Steve Tully was sent off for a professional foul.

"That would rank with one of the best away performances we have constructed," Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon.

"[Tully's red card] was heartbreaking really because it was an innocuous incident and I think a soft decision."

And the manager also felt that the performance outranked famous wins from last season.

"I think that tops Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday last year.

"The way we played with 10 men for an hour, away from home 1-0 down, we looked the side with 11 men rather than 10."
