Ten-man Droylsden held Harrogate Town to a goalless draw at the CNG Stadium in Blue Square Bet North.
Droylsden had Paul Brown sent off in the first half but Simon Weaver's side could not break them down despite numerous chances to score.
Weaver told BBC Radio York: "There aren't too many complaints.
"Sometimes it's just very difficult to break down ten men and they worked hard. We just didn't have the rub of the green in front of goal."
Weaver continued: "We had a world record attempt with six cleared off the line in about six seconds at one point.
"There's no point in shouting and screaming about it just because you're frustrated. All in all I thought it was a performance of high tempo and good tenacity all around the park."
He added: "I think we held our shape a lot better. It's good to keep a clean sheet even if it is against ten men for the majority of the game.
"I think the lads worked their socks off. We'll be in on Thursday working hard for Saturday's game."
Harrogate Town host Boston United in their next game on Saturday.
