Torquay United defender Daniel Leadbitter has returned to training after a hamstring injury.
The 20-year-old joined the Gulls on a free transfer from Newcastle United during the summer.
Taylor, who is yet to make his Football League debut, suffered the injury during Torquay's pre-season campaign.
"It's a little bit early to say if he'll be involved in the Saturday game but we'll see how it goes," Torquay assistant manager Shaun Taylor said.
"It's one of those where we don't want to rush things and then there'll be a massive set back and he won't be involved for a while."
