Jake Speight scored a hat-trick as Wrexham returned to the top of the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Speight gave his side the lead on 12 minutes before bottom side Alfreton hit back with a Nathan Jarman penalty.
But Speight restored their lead on 32 minutes and completed his hat-trick in the second half with a penalty after Neil Ashton was fouled.
Mathias Pogba completed the scoring late on for the visitors, who maintained their unbeaten start.
