A superb goal from substitute Rory Donnelly gave the Reds a deserved Carling Premiership victory at New Grosvenor on Saturday.
Jordan Hughes put the Whites ahead on 13 minutes with a low shot which slipped under keeper Ryan Brown.
Cliftonville levelled when a mix-up between keeper Billy Brennan and Pat McShane let Stephen Garrett in to roll into an empty net.
Donnelly's classy finish with 15 minutes left clinched the points.
The visitors dominated after the equaliser and Brennan kept out a Ciaran Caldwell strike and Scott Davidson cleared off the line to deny Garrett.
Brennan and Brown made excellent saves in the second half while Cliftonville wasted numerous chances and the Reds should have won by a greater margin.
