Harrogate Town slipped to 13th in Blue Square Bet North after losing 2-0 at home to Boston United.
Marc Newsham gave Boston an early lead, with veteran striker and joint manager Jason Lee scoring a late second.
Town manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York: "We were bullied in both boxes and down the core of the team.
"The second half was better, at least we passed it a bit more. We still lacked penetration to get the ball into the net. It was not good enough."
The result left an improved crowd of 522 disappointed, but Weaver has little time to dwell on the result, as they prepare for the trip to Blyth Spartans on Monday.
"Players have to learn their lessons and get that spark into them. I need that spark every week.
"What a game for us, an opportunity to bounce straight back, and we've got a few points to prove against them."
