Wallemme takes charge of Congo
Congo will have a new coach for Sunday's 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan.
Frenchman Jean-Guy Wallemme is the new man in charge, with the 44-year-old flying to Brazzaville over the weekend.
Wallemme, who coached French club Lens from 2008-10, will oversee Congo's 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.
The 1972 African champions can no longer qualify for next year's Nations Cup but have two Group I games left against Sudan and then Swaziland.
Their 2014 World Cup campaign starts in November with a two-legged preliminary tie against minnows Sao Tome and Principe.
Whoever makes it through will contest the main qualifying round next year, when 10 groups of four will fight to reach Brazil.
Only the ten group winners will reach the final round of qualifying, when five two-legged play-offs will determine who represents Africa in 2014.
Wallemme replaces his compatriot Robert Corfou as Congo's coach.
