Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale says he is happy with the way that new signing Rowan Vine began his Grecians loan spell.

The 28-year-old joined on a month-long deal from QPR on Friday and started Saturday's 2-1 win over Chesterfield.

"He did very well for someone who hasn't played for a number of weeks and hasn't really met his teammates," Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon.

"After two or three games he will start affecting the goal," he added.

Vine joined QPR for £1m in 2008, but has struggled to establish himself in the Premier League side.

He has had spells on loan at Hull, Brentford and MK Dons in the past three years.
