Harrogate Town midfielder Laurie Wilson is confident the club can be successful in Blue Square Bet North this season.
The 26-year old was part of Alfreton's promotion winning squad last season and believes Harrogate Town can also challenge.
He told BBC Radio York: "It's the only reason I signed for these guys, I think there's quality in the team.
"I don't want to leave one team that got promoted to come to a team that's going to sit in mid-table."
Wilson continued: "It's clear. We're scoring on average three goals a game. I think we just need to tighten things up.
"We just need to do that little bit extra work on the training ground, understand each other a bit more, and we'll not be far off."
Wilson moved to Harrogate Town in the close season along with former Alfreton team-mate Ian Ross.
"Me and Rossy didn't play too much together last year, and [when we did] it was kind of me on the wing and Rossy inside.
"We have a decent understanding. I know what he's all about. He knows where my strengths lie and we understand each other quite well."
