Midfielder Christian Poulsen joins Evian from Liverpool

Poulsen has not featured in the Liverpool first-team squad this term

French Ligue 1 club Evian have signed Denmark international midfielder Christian Poulsen from Liverpool on a one-year deal.

The 31-year-old joined the Reds from Juventus for £4.5m in 2010, but only made 12 appearances for the club.

Poulsen helped Sevilla win the UEFA Cup and the Copa del Rey in 2007.

Emiliano Insua and Alberto Aquilani have also left, with Joe Cole heading out on loan to Lille as Kenny Dalglish continues to shape his squad.
