QPR have completed the signing of Sunderland defender Anton Ferdinand for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old signed a three-year deal to join up with the Premier League newcomers.
Ferdinand only has a year left on his contract at the Stadium of Light and could have left the club on a free transfer next summer.
"The club's moving forward and things seem to be buzzing around here at the moment", he said.
The centre-back moved to the north east for a reported fee of £8m three years ago from West Ham.
Rangers were recently taken over by Tony Fernandes and have made four transfers so during the summer transfer window, bringing in Joey Barton, Luke Young, and Shaun Wright-Phillips.
